Talkie Tot 3.0

Talkie Talk is an application created by speech-language pathologist Barbara Fernandes. It has been specifically tailored to aid children with limited verbal communication skills, including those experiencing language delays, autism, and those in the early stages of learning to utilize visual aids for communication. The app targets children who are at the one-word phrase communication stage, helping them transition to combining words to form basic two-word phrases.

Parents are encouraged to engage their children in practicing the phrases provided in a multitude of settings throughout the day to reinforce comprehension and application. As children progress and adeptly piece together words to construct phrases, it is advisable to deactivate the color-coded system in the settings to foster autonomy.

A forthcoming version of TalkieTot will extend its support to constructing three-word phrases.
